About Us
The River City Venture Legal Clinic is a pro bono initiative dedicated to providing free legal information and support to early-stage entrepreneurs, change-makers, and small businesses in the greater Edmonton area of Treaty 6 territory. We serve a diverse range of ventures, including non-profits, charities, businesses, and unincorporated groups. Our clinic offers law students valuable hands-on experience, allowing them to develop practical legal skills while contributing to Edmonton’s vibrant entrepreneurial community.

The Process Explained
First, you contact us and share details about your venture and legal concerns. We’ll then schedule an initial consultation to better understand your needs and address your questions.
Next, we collaborate with our lawyers to determine whether we can assist you. Once we've made a decision, we’ll inform you promptly. Our law students then begin researching your questions, with their work carefully reviewed by our advising lawyers.
Finally, our team will present the final work to you!
